FAQ

Please see below for some frequently asked questions or get in touch if you don't see the answer —

  • I need advice on framing my artwork?
All of the prints are supplied unframed. Digital prints are designed to fit standard size frames like A4, A3 and 300 x 300mm for example. The choice of framing is down to personal preference but if you are looking for slim aluminium frames Nielsen is a good place to start. For original prints the attached catalogue describes and shows examples of the main framing methods. A good framer or gallery will be able to advise on frame type, mounting options, glass and best practice conservation techniques to prolong the life of your print. Generally keep the artwork out of direct sunlight, use acid free and conservation quality mountboards and tapes, seal the back of the frame against humidity and where possible upgrade glass/ perspex to protect against UV light.
  • How soon will my order be dispatched and when can I expect it to arrive?
Once your order is placed, it will usually take 2-5 working days to be dispatched unless a special delivery method is chosen. If you need your order more urgently, please email to discuss using an expedited postal service. For all UK orders, items are posted out via Royal Mail at 1st Class. If it is over 2kg, the item will be posted using Parcel Force or another similar courier service. For all other countries please refer to the shipping details and prices on the item page. Delivery Estimates: UK: 2-5 Days Europe: 7-9 Days ROW: 7-14 Days Please note that not all destinations will meet with the above times and are just for guidance.
  • What should I do if my order hasn’t arrived?
If your order hasn’t arrived after the specified timescale please send an email to luke@lukeholcombestudio.com with your name and order number. As advised by Royal Mail, orders from outside the UK should leave up to 21 days before we re-dispatch an order.
  • How is the item shipped?
All items are shipped in well-sealed recycled protective packaging. A4 and A3 prints are shipped flat in reinforced envelopes. Larger A2 and A1 prints are rolled and shipped in cardboard postal tubes.
  • Colours and variation of prints and artwork?
The images shown attempt to give the best representation of artwork colours but may vary slightly from the colours online depending on your screen settings. Artworks are generally printed on recycled papers which may have small flecks of recycled material embedded in the surface and some products include an element of hand finishing—so there may be minor variations between prints, which is part of what makes each piece unique! It is also best to avoid hanging artwork in direct sunlight as this may cause colours to fade over time. When handling the print please ensure hands are clean or use white cotton gloves to avoid marking the surfaces.
